Every city has their “crazy street”. The street in which you find the drunks, the crazies, the lonely, and the funny. To the north Texas town of Denton, this area is called Fry Street. It is where all the bars are located and an interesting nightlife appears. I staked out an area on a park bench waiting for some people crossing this street, and here is the outcome. Hope you enjoy!
This photo was from the NX35 festival in Denton Texas, where yours truly was brought into this beautiful world. The band displayed is called The Dallas Family Band, they were playing before a couple bands went on and have a great personal experience with their fans. I really enjoyed taking shots of this fantastic group and I hope you enjoy.

Thanks!
I am not a big Architectural photographer. I feel like it is usually one sided and the true work of art is the building or sculpture…not the photograph. But sometimes those weird angles and perspectives come along and you have to take advantage of the opportunity. This is my favorite building in Austin, I always wanted a photograph of it that would unfold itself in a different way…I believe I have done that. At least for me. As always, enjoy.
For some reason this image is very important to me. I was downtown Austin and stumbled upon an alley which had so much of a story to tell. Dripping drains, humming 2nd rate air condition units, leaky faucets. I think this photograph depicts exactly what this alley was trying to tell me.
We are not in Kansas…now are we?
Yesterday I decided since I could actually see the sun that i should embark on some action sports. I looked up the voted best San Antonio skate park and took off. This is one shot I came home with. It was a blast and these people really have talent!
Thanks for looking as always.
This shot was inspired by 2 things. 1. Britany and I were at a San Marcos Goodwill lastnight and we came across this suitcase for 6 bucks! I had to buy it! 2. The film the Darjeeling Limited Directed by Wes Anderson. In one of the opening scenes the character played by Adrian Brody ran with a suitcase to catch a train in which his brothers and himself would be collaborating to start an unknown journey.
Thanks
Look at me, Who am I supposed to be? Who am I supposed to be? Look at me, What am I supposed to be? What am I supposed to be? Look at me, Oh my love, oh my love. Here I am, What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do?Here I am, What can I do for you? What can I do for you? Here I am, Oh my love, oh my love.
Look at me, oh please look at me, my love, Here I am - Oh my love. Who am I?
Nobody knows but me, Nobody knows but me, Who am I? Nobody else can see,
Just you and me, Who are we? Oh my love, oh my love. Oh my love…
-John Lennon
This was taken in White Sands New Mexico. I am in a bad mood so I will not be giving any clever insight to this photo. Sorry.
The title of this photo is Roswell Behind the Scenes.
So as you may have concluded this was taken in Roswell New Mexico about 2 blocks from the historic (but completly dull) U.F.O. Musuem. The real treat about the town were the things in the background, the things you didn’t notice. Like this.
One more thing I started an etsy page and this photo plus a couple others will be making there way for sale! The site is www.scottballphoto.etsy.com
Thank You!
This was taken yesterday at a strip center near Ingram Park Mall. My girlfriend refers to this photo as a post renaissance Italian photo. You may have seen this style before involving windows and flowerpots…well I guess you could say I used a parking block and electrical box.
Thanks for looking and of course…there will be more to come.
PS: Im going to New Mexico for vacation so expect not to hear from me for a while but when I return I will hopefully have some shots I am proud of.
Here is another portrait that I like. It was shot on my birthday with my 7D.
Please don’t disown me now. I have an excuse why I have not been posting and the reason is good I tell you! I have been sick and was basically glued to my bed. Plus I have a new website that is under heavy construction (More on that in future posts). Here is a shot I took the same day as the previous post in Austin Texas. It is the ceiling on a port-o-john. The lighting was perfect! Who’d a thunk it?!
This shot was taken in Austin probably around a year ago. My friend Aaron was climbing this awesome textured wall and I had to snap some shots. I think this would make a good jeans or clothing advertisement.
Thanks for looking!
